KTM still in the fast line

07/03/2019
  • Unit sales in the 1st half 2019: +7% compared to previous year
  • Motorized two-wheeler is gaining popularity

In the first half of 2019, KTM sold approximately 136,000 vehicles worldwide under the KTM and Husqvarna Motorcycles brands; this equals to an increase in unit sales by approximately 7% compared to the previous year.

The increased sales figures are on the one hand due to the positive development of the overall European market. The motorised two-wheeler is regaining popularity in Europe and registrations have increased by more than 10%. On the other hand, due to the strong sales growth in India (+30%) KTM was also able to gain market share there and increased its worldwide unit sales in the first six months of the current financial year.

The final key figures for the first six months period will be published on August 26, 2019 after the close of trading.
